Anthony Bourdain: Another one bites the dust

Anthony Bourdain: Another one bites the dust

Why is it that similar incidents happen to follow each other, even though they are unrelated?

I woke up this morning to read the news that Anthony Bourdain has killed himself. This comes only 2 days after the suicide of designer Kate Spade.  Anthony Bourdain was found unresponsive in his hotel room in France.

Why did Anthony or Kate or for that matter anyone who kill themselves do it?

Even though suicide is considered a “cowardly act” since it indicates that you are unable to face the problems of the world, does it really take no courage to kill oneself? Is it possible that when you see someone else do it, its easier to do it yourself? Could it be that after Kate Spade did it, Anthony Bourdain gathered enough courage to go ahead with it too?

Kate and Anthony had accomplished a lot in life – so much more than what millions of ordinary folks can only dream about.  This makes their departure so much more tragic.

Why did Anthony Bourdain choose France for his departure?  Could it be that he felt a connection to France since his father was French and he spent many a childhood there?

Is it that we always go back to our roots when the circle of our life is coming to a close?

What do you think about all this?

Tell me. I want to hear from you.
